Today’s show is all about video games – specifically the ones with awesome storytelling qualities. This episode was inspired by Wil Wheaton’s new creation Titansgrave: The Ashes of Valkana. I loved this show and I think Wheaton has done something for gaming, particularly RPGs, that has been years in the making.
In this episode I discuss how video games shifted, going from the early concepts of just pure button pressing and interactivity, to modern games like Last of us and Tomb Raider 2013, which focus more on story telling and taking the player on a journey, as well as providing entertaining hours of smashing through things and hacking of heads (Devil May Cry for life!!).
However I do have a hidden agenda. I wanted to rant about my experiences playing Pokemon Red (yes, the really really old game) for the first time in my life.
And boy do I rant.
